What it's all about
The Team:
Join a dynamic and data-driven team dedicated to leveraging insights for strategic decision-making. We foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teamwork and innovation are at the core of our success.
As an experienced Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You’ll own and lead our entire Power BI landscape—from data modeling and report development to performance tuning and governance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment and wants full responsibility for shaping how data is visualized and consumed across the company.
What You'll Be Doing:
Power BI Ownership – Take full ownership of our Power BI environment, including governance, architecture, performance optimization, and standardization of reporting best practices.
DAX Studio & Optimization – Use DAX Studio confidently to troubleshoot and optimize complex DAX queries, ensuring fast, performant, and scalable solutions.
Power BI Reporting – Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards to provide clear, insightful visualizations that support strategic decision-making.
Data Analysis & Modeling – Utilize SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets, designing scalable data models to streamline reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with IT, product, and marketing teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
Data Processing – Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
Data Quality & Governance – Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across multiple sources by implementing quality control measures and automated checks.
Documentation & Reporting – Maintain thorough documentation of methodologies, models, and processes, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner.
Process Improvement – Continuously evaluate and optimize reporting processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions.
What You'll Need:
- Experience – Senior-level experience (7 years+) in data analysis or business intelligence, preferably in a B2C online environment.
- Advanced Power BI expertise — far beyond basic report building; you can independently design robust data models, write advanced DAX, optimise large, complex reports for performance, and establish best practices while mentoring others. This is not a learning role — you must already excel in these areas.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in Power BI, SQL Server, and Python, with expertise in data modeling and visualization.
- Microsoft Tech Expertise – Strong familiarity with Microsoft technologies and platforms for seamless system integration.
- Analytical Mindset – Exceptional problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills – Ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration – Proven ability to work effectively across teams, including technical, product, and marketing departments.
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with additional BI tools beyond Power BI.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics techniques.
- Work remotely from anywhere in the world—enjoy true location freedom.
- Your choice of IT equipment—we provide the tools to set you up for success.
- A close-knit, international team that fosters collaboration and inclusivity.
- Competitive compensation that reflects your skills and expertise.
- Flexible hours & remote work—balance work and life on your terms.
- Professional growth opportunities, including support for conferences and skill development.
- Unforgettable team events, including our annual JobLeads Sailing Week in the Mediterranean.
- The best of both worlds—the stability of an established company with the agility of a startup.
